TL;DR kickstarter products
Can a couple of engineers solve the touch bar problem?

While Apple wants you to forget, chances are you still remember the infamous touch bar. The touch bar was polarizing enough that Apple eventually reverted the MacBook Pro design back to replace it with a row of function keys. Despite its sorted history, I always thought it had some potential. So when I saw the Flexbar on Kickstarter, I thought it looked promising.

The Flexbar attempts to improve on Apple’s design with support for multiple operating systems with no extra setup. With built-in macro support and a dedicated software studio, it looks like this touch bar will break free of the siloed limitations of the last model.

The Flexbar is the manufacturer ENIAC’s inaugural Kickstarter campaign, so it’s quite possible that your product may not arrive by the quoted February 2025 timeframe, but for a pre-order price of $134 ($119 + $15 dollars US shipping), it might just be worth a try.
